KGRAY MarketingHow KGRAY Marketing Elevated From Scrappy Startup to Premium Brand Presence Hey Reader, When we first started working with Katherine of KGRAY Marketing, she was starting from the same place most of our clients tend to be coming from. Katherine started off her marketing consultancy from a scrappy origin—DIYing her website while making a name for herself—until eventually, she’d outgrown the website (and brand) she’d built. She knew that eventually, the time would come to double down on the brand she’d built and make it feel more cohesive and visually pleasing. Because even though Katherine is technically a solopreneur, her business has served name brands like Meta and FullScript (just to name a few). After spending enough years refining her ideal client avatar, Katherine also discovered that her previous branding, messaging, and even business services were long overdue for an upgrade. When it comes to what we focused on with Katherine’s project, we executed several brand transformations that supported her new, more premium positioning, like… Establishing a brand that stands out in the fractional marketing industry, especially because she offers marketing services to her own clients Structuring her website like a growth engine that would lead clients through their individualized customer journey, instead of feeling like a stale billboard Focusing on her craft and how it translates to her services by incorporating several sections of her website that explain her process + expertise in more detail Connecting the dots between multiple audience segments on the same page, instead of adding multiple clicks’ worth of unnecessary pages Crafting a holistic marketing strategy that encompassed SEO + blogs so the long-term gain from her website can compound over time Setting her up for the future of search with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)—implementing JSON schema markup on each key page so that AI-powered answer engines like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews are pulling the right information about her brand One of our favorite parts about this project was getting to play with the sheer scope and size of how Katherine’s brand is perceived. Because even though KGRAY Marketing is a business that’s technically only operated around Katherine’s services, her brand appears bigger and bolder, especially compared to her biggest competitors.
