How Ivy Hospitality’s Brand Strategy Helped Them Hire More Qualified Candidates

Hey Reader,

Today we wanted to share a story about one of our clients, Ivy Hospitality.

When we first started working together, Ivy was in the middle of standing up another side of their hospitality business and relaunching into something brand new. Not new territory for us—we support brands with this kind of business strategy + spinoff support ALL the time.

But we knew going in, that Ivy planned to go from a team of zero to a full leadership team zero to thirty in an extremely short period of time. And then? They were going to scale their team again but this time they needed to scale their team by at least 8x...but likely much more.

Since we knew all of this going into the project, we worked with the founder, Tommy, to create a brand that didn’t just appeal to the high-profile hotel groups they manage — which includes major name brands like Hilton, Marriott, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Hyatt.

We made sure to also build out their brand strategy—including their name, brand positioning strategy, actionable messaging, logo, color palette, website, merch, and social media assets—so it attracted the kind of employees and contractors they would need to hire to support their fast growth.

If these prospective candidates were exploring Ivy’s website while researching during their job search or preparing for a job interview, they would’ve sensed that Ivy Hospitality is a GREAT place to work because…

Their website is easy to navigate—which makes them appear trustworthy, put together, and more organized than their biggest competitors in the job market

Their brand imagery feels warm, empathetic, and inviting—which translates to their workplace culture (and the clients they serve)

There are specific callouts to how you can grow your career at Ivy, reinforcing their commitment to long-term relationships and developing their talent

There’s an emphasis on the balance of being a tech-forward, but a people-focused brand which is one of their bigger differentiators

Our favorite part about this story though is that Ivy is not a special use case or a one-size-fits-most kind of company. They’re deeply rooted in their beliefs that for the right qualified individuals there is room to grow at the company for DECADES. As in…this company isn’t just somewhere to collect a paycheck.

This is just one of the many ways we support our clients—because yes, you could have a great website that attracts clients or customers. But wouldn’t it be cool if it was also the secret to hiring your dream team, raising more money, or scaling faster (and with more ease) than you ever thought possible?

That’s exactly what we’re about here at Emerald. Click here to learn more about our services or fill out this form and tell us about your next project.
