Balancing a historic church’s past with its innovative future.

The Granite, a historic church nestled in the heart of a vibrant community, embarked on a transformative journey of repurpose its sacred halls into a dynamic performing arts venue and community center. Collaborating with our partner BCS, we undertook the challenge of crafting a brand that honors the building's storied past while embracing its promising future as a cultural hub.

Delving into the church's history and a walkthrough of the space, we incorporated architectural motifs and stained glass patterns into the brand identity to evoke nostalgia and reverence. We melded this with the organizations role as a catalyst for artistic innovation and community empowerment to create their brand.

The Granite is a great example of the transformative power of honoring tradition while embracing innovation in revitalizing historic landmarks for the benefit of future generations.

Shoutout to moms We're big fans. When we were seniors at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, team Emerald (before Emerald existed!) went all out for the annual Mom's weekend flower show. Charlee and Leah did a Matisse themed exhibit, complete with painting a 7 foot wall, building a structure to hang laser cut flowers and even making matching t-shirts for us and our moms! We've always enjoyed doing the absolute most. Enjoy some photos below. Charlee & Leah Charlee, Leah & the 7 foot mural...
